Our obedience program

Top-Notch Dog Obedience Program in Northern Alabama

At Smokin' Feathers Kennel and Retrievers, our obedience program is designed to last around 2 months and equip your K-9 companion with the skills to be obedient in any situation. There are 4 stages of learning for a dog:

• Acquisition: Learning the behavior
• Fluency: Becoming fluent in the behavior
• Generalizing: Performing the behavior in different scenarios
• Maintenance: Ensuring consistency of behavior in different scenarios

We are aware that other trainers condense this training into a 3-week window (and usually charge more), but we believe this does not allow for proper generalization of the commands taught. Contact us now to learn more about how we can help you.
